Steve, Oertle

Steve Oertle helps our member districts by developing tailored learning opportunities and professional development programs. He brings more than 30 years of experience in public education, including roles as a teacher, special education teacher, principal, district administrator and Assistant Superintendent. Throughout his career, Steve has led and supported work in curriculum and instruction, professional learning, PLCs, MTSS, school improvement, teacher evaluation and districtwide instructional systems, while also providing professional development and consulting support to educators and school leaders. Steve is passionate about helping educators turn research into practice by creating learning environments that are engaging, rigorous, relational and grounded in how the brain learns. He believes meaningful school improvement happens when strong relationships, evidence-based instructional practices, clear systems and collaborative professional learning come together to improve learning for both students and adults.
