Spark, Ignite and Launch Sessions

 

The innovate conference will also offer a variety of learning opportunities for attendees to engage in content:

 

Spark Session: 30-minute session to spark interest around a particular topic, tool, strategy or idea.
Ignite Session: 60-minute session to provide an experience to ignite passion around a topic, tool or strategy with an idea for implementation
Launch Session: 90-minute session with an opportunity to explore an idea, topic or strategy, provide implementation and impact considerations, and time to consider execution within your school environment

Mitch Matthews Sessions

Keynote session | “Google Your Brain”  – 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Inspire innovation, performance and excellence! This engaging and fun keynote session will increase your ability to innovate, perform and be open to new ideas. Through powerful stories, relevant case studies and applicable tools, Mitch will unlock your ability to use “solution-based” thinking to be more creative, more committed and bring more excellence! True innovation doesn’t take a 2-day retreat, it can simply come from two minutes spent with a better question. These concepts can be applied at work and at home!

Breakout Session |  “Is Your Hair on Fire?” – 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Break free from the cycle of worry and stress… so you can be more creative, engaged and effective. Learn how a life-changing and laughter-inspiring experience on a Montana mountain top forced Mitch to overcome worry and become passionate about helping others to do the same.

Keynote Session | "The Power of Belonging" 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
This powerful and unique keynote highlights the key factors in student engagement and success. Equity, access, language, community and the power of belonging are showcased to remind us of the foundations for a safe student environment. William’s incredibly impactful message is vital for ALL educators to witness so they can connect back to their “WHY” and truly grasp the power of their words and actions on EVERY child. William Martinez is a multi-award-winning international keynote speaker with a story that everyone in education needs to experience.

Breakout Session | "The Impact of Rest" 2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
OPEN Session to ALL Educators
Learn how to understand your students’ needs with just a hand raise, give clear direction without speaking and create a unique bond with your students by learning another language. Gain resources to further expand your knowledge of ASL vocabulary and non-verbally communicate with students while keeping the flow and attention of the class intact. Teachers can course correct students who have lost focus without disrupting the other students’ concentration. It enables shy students to communicate without drawing unwanted attention and creates a unique relationship between the teacher and students by learning a new language together. ASL is a powerful classroom management tool, regardless of subject or student grade level. 

Breakout Session | "ASL in the Classroom" 4:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Explore the concept of rest and learn the four dynamic ways to powerfully rest and how to integrate it into your life. Create, share and realize this together with self-reflection and open honest discussion. Gain self-awareness of UNrest and using tools to dissolve it enables us to regain power in choice, generate joy, create boundaries, engage in positive connections and implement self-care to thrive and live our best lives. Rest is vital, powerful and its hard work that can be life changing. You may think rest is about sleep. Rest is about action!
