Learn how to understand your students’ needs with just a hand raise, give clear direction without speaking and create a unique bond with your students by learning another language. Gain resources to further expand your knowledge of ASL vocabulary and non-verbally communicate with students while keeping the flow and attention of the class intact. Teachers can course correct students who have lost focus without disrupting the other students’ concentration. It enables shy students to communicate without drawing unwanted attention and creates a unique relationship between the teacher and students by learning a new language together. ASL is a powerful classroom management tool, regardless of subject or student grade level.
